This statement follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Please send questions about data protection to the address above.

The website runs on a server we rent from a hosting provider in Germany. When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary details such as your IP address, browser type and the address requested. The server needs these details to deliver the page to you.

We keep no access logs for this website. If a technical error occurs, the server records an error message so that we can fix it.

The connection to the website is encrypted.

In the contact form you enter your name, your e-mail address and your message. Our server in Germany sends these details as an e-mail to our mailbox and does not keep them permanently. The mailbox is held by an e-mail provider in Switzerland.

We use these details only to answer your enquiry. We keep the e-mail for as long as your enquiry requires or a legal retention duty demands.

If you write to us directly, your e-mail arrives in the same mailbox in Switzerland. The same applies to it as to messages from the contact form.

We write to businesses from info@asialink.ch to introduce our services. For this we use only business contact details the company has published itself, such as the company name, its general e-mail address and details from its website. We address recipients by their role.

We do not write to businesses that are marked with an asterisk in the phone directory as not wanting advertising. Every e-mail tells you how to stop further e-mails. A short reply or a message to info@asialink.ch is enough. If you unsubscribe or decline, we put your address on a suppression list so that we do not write to you again. We keep that list for as long as it is needed for this purpose.

We count visits with statistics software that we run ourselves on our server in Germany. It sets no cookies and stores neither IP addresses nor the full browser identifier.

To count visits, the software derives an identifier from the IP address, the browser identifier and a random value. The random value is deleted every 24 hours, after which the identifier can no longer be traced back to your IP address. It stores the page visited, the page you came from, browser, operating system, device type, and the country, region and city derived from the IP address. Apart from the hosting provider, nobody receives these data.

The website sets one cookie at most. It remembers the language you chose and is deleted when you close your browser.

Apart from us, your data are processed only by the hosting provider in Germany and the e-mail provider in Switzerland, both on our behalf.

According to the Swiss Federal Council, Germany ensures an adequate level of data protection. For the processing described here, we disclose no data to any other country.

You can ask at any time which data we process about you. You can ask us to correct wrong data or to delete data, and you can object to processing. On request you receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format. To do so, write to info@asialink.ch. So that we do not hand data to anyone unauthorised, we may ask you to prove your identity.

We make no automated individual decisions. If you believe we do not process your data correctly, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
